Have You Ever' continues the story-driven style of song writing that we hear in The Alpacas previous album. Andrei Ionescu wrote HAVE YOU EVER with his mother in mind: "My childhood was a beautiful one, where I didn't feel the shortcomings of living modestly. It was only later that I realized the immense sacrifices that my mother, who raised me and my brother by herself, had to undertake for us to not have a care in the world. So now, as an adult, I ask her through this song: have you ever loved yourself?"

The song finds a way to viscerally express gratitude, while gently asking how can one sacrifice so much of themselves for another. Have you ever loved yourself – is fundamentally rhetorical, in the sense that giving all your time and love to your children might offer you a much bigger reward than investing that time and love in yourself.

The Alpacas recorded this track in Buffalo Studio (clients include Warner Music) and it features guitars - acoustic and electric, bass, percussion, and lush violin - all contributing to a warm, rich and organic sound.
